A category is what a business sells, not the technology behind it. Each startup carries up to three, and the first is its primary one — the category its profile links to and the one it is counted under here.
Categories are assigned when a profile is reviewed, from what the business itself says it does. A count is published startups only: drafts and rejected submissions never appear in it.
