How this list works
A business model is how the money actually arrives — a subscription, a one-off purchase, usage-based billing, or a free tier that converts. A startup can carry up to three, and the first is its primary one.
The model comes from what the founder states or from a source on the profile, and is confirmed when the profile is reviewed. It is recorded separately from the revenue figure, so you can read one without the other.
Every figure on a profile carries its source, its date and a label saying whether anyone stands behind it. How figures work.
